Jim Choukas-Bradley is a Washington, D.C. based songwriter, attorney, and lifelong explorer whose music is shaped by decades of travel and a deep connection to the landscapes and stories of American history. From hitchhiking and freight trains in the Pacific Northwest to law school at Georgetown and the decades of legal work across the country. Jim has visited all 50 states and draws inspiration from the people, places, and histories he has encountered along the way. His second album, Black Hills Ranger, builds on the rootsy storytelling of his debut, Rising Tide.Family remains central to his music, with contributions from his son Jesse and wife Melanie, making Black Hills Ranger both a personal and distinctly American collection of songs.
